It has happened to me several times. But fret not! Cracked lipsticks don't necessarily mean you won't be able to uae them without making a mess! It can be fixed!<br />
<br />
what you need:<br />
1. Tissue paper or napkins<br />
2. Alcohol<br />
3. Lighter or match sticks<br />
4. Cotton buds<br />
<br />
First, lay down the napkin so if ever your lipstick falls, it will still be clean. Then sanitize your hands because you will be using them.<br />
just use the lighter or match sticks to melt your lipstick and use the cotton bud to align them to<br />
place again.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
sorry I forgot before pics. Just thoight about blogging it after I did it because it might help others! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If your lipstick has totally fallen off, however, you may need to remove the remaining lipstick that is left on the cup or whatever that is called(it will not be sturdy enough if you don't). Then melt the bottom of what has fallen off before you stick it into place again.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the finished result:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Not pretty but usable! :)<br />

MAC Girl About TownI recently got a MAC Girl About Town, because.. To be honest, I don't know, I guess I got carried away with the hype - I usually don't get similar shades to my existing collection.<br />
Anyway, I was fixing my stash and I remembered it could be similar to Champ Elysees.<br />
<br />
MAC Girl About Town on top<br />
Guerlain Champs Elysees at the bottom<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/09/02/3725.jpg"><img border="0" height="210" src="http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/09/02/s_3725.jpg" style="margin: 5px;" width="281" /></a></center>
<br />
They are more similar in person, but not exact dupes. Champs Elysees obviously has moe red, white GAT is more neon pink. They're similar and one would answer for a lemming of another, but it isn't too much to have both, I think.<br />
<br />
Girl About Town is for days when I'm feeling more energetic and fun, and Champs Elysess for a more sophisticated fuschia look!<br />

</div>
First of all, sorry for my recent hiatus. It's been years I know, and I've been wanting to go back for a long time into the blogging world, except that I rarely use the PC anymore, and when I do, it is usually just to go into MS Word to make a paper or to edit what I've written on my iPad for my thesis. Yes, very busy with life and all, but enough about that. :)<br />
<br />
So lately, I've been destashing and organizing my collection in favor of a more minimalist philosophy when it comes to my makeup collection which means valuing quality over quantity. As a result, I've sold and am selling most of the stuff I no longer use or don't work for me.<br />
The following is now my updated patial collection. Partial because I was too lazy to organize my eye makeup and they're boring anyways. Just a couple quads here and there, few eyeliners, and a couple concealers (My HG concealer is now Missha The Style Undereye Brightening, btw) and a few brow products plus mascaras. Besides I'm not done destashing that part of my collection :D<br />
<br />
Enough blabber, onto pics!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My powders! I think that covers all of them (excuse those concealers)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
LtoR, TtoB: Ben Nye Banana Visage(HG!), NYC Loose Powder, Chifure Powder Foundation, Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre, Maybelline Oil Control Loose Powder.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m6Oh0sWwW8M/UA57heOPfbI/AAAAAAAAADs/a4B0xBQ_REs/s1600/SDC10091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m6Oh0sWwW8M/UA57heOPfbI/AAAAAAAAADs/a4B0xBQ_REs/s320/SDC10091.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My foundations:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
LtoR: Estee Lauder Double Wear, Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk, Nars Tinted Moisturizer, and a couple BB creams that I got as GWP's from Estee Lauder. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mhlNZDtSmqA/UA58Xs_NzyI/AAAAAAAAAD8/2EGkcnmQ9Zk/s1600/SDC10096.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mhlNZDtSmqA/UA58Xs_NzyI/AAAAAAAAAD8/2EGkcnmQ9Zk/s320/SDC10096.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lipsticks! Sorry for the awful quality of this picture, I didn't notice it was this blurry until now. Shaky hands.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I forget the names but I'll try.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
LtoR: MUFE Rouge Artist Intense in 46 (I think?), MUFE in 38, MAC Fresh Salmon, MAC Viva Glam Nicki, Burberry Tulip Pink, Chanel magnolia, Chanel genial, Chanel Insolente, YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 01 Le Rouge, YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 27 Fuchsia Innocent. Beside them are my Sophie Martin lippies, and behind are the ones that I'm about to dispose of: Stila in Outrageous, MAC in Behave Yourself, and CG in Enchantress.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vIryXki6qiQ/UA58v_ImhjI/AAAAAAAAAEI/Vom1rHT2n74/s1600/SDC10097.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vIryXki6qiQ/UA58v_ImhjI/AAAAAAAAAEI/Vom1rHT2n74/s320/SDC10097.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
and that's about it. Over all I'm happy that I get to use almost everything now. I thought a nice come back would be a collections post. So there ya go. If you wanna see me review any of these, feel free to comment below with your request and I'll try to follow up as soon as I could.<br />
<br />
Still thinking what I should get next. A foundation, another highlighter since I only have one, or another YSL RPC which I'm recently addicted to? I'm also waiting for the Chanel Rouge Allures this August, but it's quite sad that they're being reformulated. I loved the old formula. Anyway, what do you all think?<br />
<br />
Have a nice day beauties!ladychris17 ♥http://www.blogger.com/profile/13524254308133428948noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30969938.post-596198050692110162011-01-21T19:25:00.002+08:002011-01-21T19:29:47.451+08:00Swatches and Review: Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF20<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://img.makeupalley.com/hwthumb.asp?f=1_7_1_1_1263398.JPG&w=200&h=200" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://img.makeupalley.com/hwthumb.asp?f=1_7_1_1_1263398.JPG&w=200&h=200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(image from www.makeupalley.com)</div><br />
Rated at a whopping 4.1 average over 5 lipsticks at make-up alley, I got intrigued. Well, actually when I first bought it I think the rating was around 4.6 :D Well anyway, I bought it either way.<br />
<br />
So here are swatches and the review will follow of course ;)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10906.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="229" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10906.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />
<b>The consistency</b> is watery, yet not so much that it dilutes the color and thus the coverage. So you can count that it has that light feeling while giving enough coverage. This is actually the deciding factor for me, the ultimate though definitely not sole reason why this foundation is my HG.<br />
<br />
because there's more..<br />
<br />
BEFORE(no foundation applied):<br />
<a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10904.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="155" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10904.jpg" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
AFTER(blended a little of the foundie):<br />
<a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10908.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="141" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10908.jpg" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
please do notice the my vein which is evident in the 2nd(before) picture but then is a bit covered in 3rd(after).<br />
Isn't the finish just gorgeous? Although I like the finish of Kevin beautymaker aqua creamy foundation(I might do a review on it some other time) a lot more, I do think that the finish of this foundie is better than most foundations in the market. Not cakey, not flat, and although it does not offer that uber flawless look since it's not a full coverage foundation, well it's very natural looking and set with a loose powder or not, it looks as if I don't have any foundation on.<br />
It's my HG as of the moment, since I only need to cover some redness, and it feels and looks so light on the face!<br />
<br />

Schiap is a lot darker and brighter, while Ice Pink is a more demure pink compared to Schiap, but is bold on it's own. The two, though, belong to the same spectrum of color. So if you want a toned-down, candier version of Schiap, get Ice Pink. But it isn't a waste to get both because I can see different uses for both.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Onto discussing textures, I actually really like the texture of these lipsticks, they are matte with a bit of a sheen but nor drying at all. Very long lasting but the downside of this staying power is that it leaves a strong stain even after you've taken it off(that is why I lip-swatched only two because the colors might mix), so it isn't really advisable for photo shoots or special events wherein you change lip colors every now and then. But it is superb for everyday use, especially for lunch and dinner dates because it's still there even after you've eaten, and does not leave that awkward faded lipstick look.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

This is the latest lipstick range from Armani, and it's caled Rouge D'Armani. I was initially excited for this since I heard that Armani's lipsticks are good.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_iKIFIrON9Y4/TOqRYo20ffI/AAAAAAAAAB4/hGsJLg4WMEs/s1600/SDC10809.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_iKIFIrON9Y4/TOqRYo20ffI/AAAAAAAAAB4/hGsJLg4WMEs/s320/SDC10809.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Rouge 400</div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iKIFIrON9Y4/TOqQEK2qMjI/AAAAAAAAABs/rC6SCFX86gI/s1600/SDC10793.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="188" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_iKIFIrON9Y4/TOqQEK2qMjI/AAAAAAAAABs/rC6SCFX86gI/s320/SDC10793.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">pink 500</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The beige 100 is not bad, for a nude. It's a nude that won't wash you out unless you literally have no make-up on, or aren't wearing any blush or eye make-up at all. It's not retro-like nude. More on the elegant side,</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The red 400 is a nice shade of red, though. A true bright red with a very slight hint of a pink undertone. Also very elegant.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Pink 500 reminds me a bit of my Chanel Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle, except that this is obviously waay more pink-er. It has that same aura when it comes to color, though. - can be a nice mlbb but can also be intensified for a night-time red carpet look. Elegant as well.</div><br />
<br />
Staying power depends on application, I blotted the pink 500 after applying it and it lasted quite long even after I ate. The Beige 100, though, did not last that long, since I didn't blot it or anything. Over-all I'm not satisfied with the staying power, could've been better.<br />
<br />
I applied with a lip brush by the way(obviously :P), and it initially has that nice sheen to it upon application. It is not drying at all.<br />

As I obviously own a red blush which looks amazing on the cheeks. (I'll do a review for that next)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/images/prod-profiles/PP_CB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="91" src="http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/images/prod-profiles/PP_CB.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><i><br />

<i><br />
</i><br />
<i>(photo from </i><a href="http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/">http://www.nyxcosmetics.com</a>) -looks like this but in quite a bright red.<br />
<br />
I used to try red lipsticks at home, and those reds were of course, my mom's, and once, my friend's ( MAC Russian Red), I either looked like I obviously got into mom's make-up, or a vampire. It was disappointing, especially when I see other gals sporting a red lipstick, looking so sophisticated. So I stopped trying, until recently when I was on a hunt for something red, but suits me, this wasn't a easy task, because even if I did find lots of varieties of reds, I am a germophobe(if there's such a word lol) when it comes to trying on lipsticks. I always use the back of my hands when swatching in-store. So I ended up not buying anything due to a fear of splurging on something that does not suit me at all.<br />
But it's been a dull and idle sembreak for me, so I decided I'd try this wonderful cream blush as a lippie, and the results were wonderful.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10801.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="115" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10801.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10796.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="141" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10796.jpg" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
It isn't that true red which makes me looks like a vampire, but it doesn't make me look like I got into mom's make-up either. It's red with a slight touch of pink, and I love how it brightens up my face. It's also really creamy so it looks nice on the lips having that bit of a sheen, but I'm not sure how long it'd stay on. I might use it tomorrow though, just to check. But I'm quite certain that it isn't long-lasting because of it's creamy-ness and because I had no difficulty taking it off.<br />
<br />
But at least now I know what sort of red suits me, nice color, isn't it? :)<br />
<br />
'til next time!ladychris17 ♥http://www.blogger.com/profile/13524254308133428948noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30969938.post-6649626412254927902010-11-05T13:31:00.000+08:002010-11-05T13:31:34.920+08:00Milk of Magnesia (under the name Maalox) as PrimerYou've heard, right? Milk of Magnesia, so what is it exactly? Well Milk of Magnesia is <i>Magnesium Hydroxide</i> in suspension form, but since I can't find anything of the sort here in the Philippines, I went on and bought Maalox which is <i>Magnesium Hydroxide, </i>and<i> Aluminum Hydroxide</i>. Both are used as antacid or laxative, nevertheless.<br />
<br />
Of course at first I was skeptical, despite the raves in youtube and some blogs I've seen (I forget but you can just google Milk of Magnesia as Primer I'm sure you'll find a few), because really, who'd want to put a laxative on her face, right? But now I guess that's me.<br />
<br />
Supposedly I was actually looking for a good oil-control primer since my oil glands most often go out of control, I found that <i>Murad</i>'s matte primer, which is very much also raved about, has ingredients that are quite the same with these laxatives, which is <i>Magnesium Aluminum Silicate</i>. If I'm not mistaken, <i>Silicate</i> is the mixture of silicon and oxygen, while <i>Hydroxide</i> is of course the mixture of hydrogen and oxygen, which then explains their consistency, the latter being quite thick. But that's just my own little theory since I'm no chemist.<br />
So anyways, because of that, I gave in and told myself to just give it a try since my skin isn't sensitive anyways and I just did a patch-test.<br />
<br />
Now about it's performance... well, I haven't tried anything like YSL or Murad yet, but I'm not sure if I still would, because this works wonders.<br />
Yesterday was a day full of hassle and since I was outdoors, I was sweating more than normal, and to top it off, I was wearing a cream foundation meaning it was supposed to slip off and I was supposed to blot a gazillion times after. BUT, I didn't, and my make-up was still perfectly matte, and intact. How cool is that!<br />
<br />
If you want to try it, though, make sure you do a patch-test first especially if you have sensitive skin, and do put on as less as possible. Too much would make you look like an <i>"espasol"</i><br />
<i><a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10793.jpg" target="_blank"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: black;"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="182" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10793.jpg" width="320" /></span></a> </i><br />
I'm not sure if you can see it clearly but check out the white stuff near my thumb. I just rubbed it on with my fingers, so it looked like that, but normally I would put it on with cotton, <i>a la</i> toner, wait for it to dry, and rub off the white excess with my fingers.<br />
It doesn't really provide a silkier base for your make-up, of course, but it does tighten your pores, which is probably responsible for the matte-ness(if there is such a word) of your face. So if you need something that will tame your gland, this is for you, but if you're a combi, just put it in your oily areas, if you have normal or dry skin, don't think about it or you might just end up having irritated skin.<br />
<br />
<br />

Nyx Round Lipstick in Orange Soda<br />
<i>(photo by www.cherryculture.com)</i><br />
<br />
<br />
I know I know, you've heard so much about these lipsticks, that they're a great deal, and all that jazz, but trust me, don't waste your money on this one. I mean, seriously, am I alone in disliking this product?<br />
Orange Soda is the only one I have (for about 6 months now, I think), because after buying this one, I told myself I'd never buy a Nyx round lippie ever again, and I would've been so excited about hoarding! If only this had nice quality. :(<br />
<br />
But of course, so as not to be so pessimistic about something, it is very pigmented for it's price, on the good side.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10786.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10786.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
If you have very nice lips with no flakes, then this would look very nice on you, but if you do have the occasional lines and flakes, then forget it.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10791-Copy.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10791-Copy.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Please ignore my upper-lip, I need it waxed soon. =P But anyways, it accentuates every imperfection that my lip has! Lines, flakes, and even my lip shape. because it's so creamy, it's sloppy.<br />
<br />
Too bad, since this is a nice color over-all. A peachy nude that only has the slightest hint of orange. But that leaves me on the search for my perfect nude lipstick, still. I'm picky when it comes to nudes, and I don't like something that shouts "NUDE" since I normally don't wear smokey eyes. My perfect nude would be something that looks nice on smokey eyes but would have a bit of color to make it just perfect for strong eyes (cat eyeliner, strong brows, etc..).<br />
<br />
<b>Quick Summary:</b><br />
<b>Pro's:</b><br />
- pigmented<br />
- cheap<br />
- has a little pan at the bottom(yes with some lipstick) if you want your friend to try it or something<br />
<br />
<b>Con's:</b><br />
<b>- </b>TOO creamy<br />
- accentuates flakes and lines<br />
- sloppy<br />
- high LED (I know I did a test)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="color: #555555; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b>Rating:</b> 1.5/5</span></span></span></span></span></div><div style="color: #555555; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"></span></span></span></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: black; font-size: small;"><b>Where to Buy and How Much:</b> multiply, other online re-sellers. a little below 200php if I remember correctly.</span></div><br />
<br />
<br />
I'll never get a round lippe from nyx ever again, unless of course someone tells me that their formula, like Chanel's Rouge Coco's, are inconsistent which means I might actually have luck on some others since I only bought one. I dunno, I still always hear creamy and pigmented, though. If you happen to know a Nyx round lipstick that's not TOO creamy, however, I would like to know and would appreciate your help. So let me know. :)<br />

Spring Forecast)Alright! So I have not been posting or anything for a month already! Sorry. :( I've been busy studying, being stressed, and lemming for lipsticks. :P Anyways, I'm not going to do a review since that'd take too long and besides, even if I did, by the time you read this and haven't gotten yourself any of the two yet, you'd just probably find that there are no stocks available already. I think Fresh Slamon is OOS all over the country by now.<br />
<br />
So! on to what I posted about. Well, since there were lot of people at the MAC counter today(launching of the new collection), I went ahead and told the SA that I'd pay for my reservations already right after I arrived, saved me some money too, I know. :P didn't even swatch the things I got 'til I got home. Oh and guess what, the raved upon <b>Fresh Salmon</b>, which I swatched first, disappointed me. It looked blah on me, like I just put on shimmers. Definitely an MLBB but I'm not sure if it's worth a thousand bucks. So, to make myself feel better, I swatched <b>Victorian</b> after, because I knew it'd look good on anyone that is NC25 above. I wasn't mistaken. :) After a while of vanity in front of the mirror, I thought of layering Fresh Salmon, oh lo and behold! It came out quite similar to the lipstick of my ridiculous lemming: <a href="http://www.temptalia.com/guerlain-giulette-rouge-g-lipstick-review-photos-swatches">Guerlain Rouge in Giulette!</a><br />
<br />
I know <i>temptalia's </i>swatch is clear and nice, but please bear with my cam and bad lighting, so forgive my swatches. :P<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10675.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10675.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">I know it looks sheer, but it's more pigmented in person and it's definitely buildable. :) Also! It looks far different from swatches, but promise it's similar in person. :) BUT please remember I said similar not identical. ;D</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Here's a swatch of the two, just for reference:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/?action=view&current=SDC10680.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/SDC10680.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>P.S. This post is intended for those who already have the two, or will get the two. ot to make jealous or to boast to those who did not make it 'til the stocks lasted.</b></div><br />
Hope To Help! :)<br />

Turned out it was a perfect match, and wasn't overly pink at all. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Frankly though, I didn't like the SA I bought this from(Rob Ermita), but since I bought it on impulse, I couldn't resist and got it anyways!</div><div style="text-align: center;">I also saw an advertisement of this one wherein I think Song Hye Kyo was holding a foundation brush, so silly me I used a foundation brush to apply this one and it left streak marks, so I used a stippling brush instead and I loved the way it looked. :)</div><div style="text-align: center;">Oh and it's scented! Not scented in the way that Revlon ColorStay is, though. (hate that chemical smell! =[ ) I love how this foundation smells. Smells like cologne (not perfume - like Guerlain), I dunno it smells fresh. uuhhmmmm.. :)</div><div style="text-align: center;">Almost forgot, it comes with a concealer on top, which Laneige claims is for the dual effect.. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>You might not a lot, but it's quite obvious in the pictured that I have lots of redness on the cheeks and on the sides of my nose that the foundation covered. I also did not use any concealer for my imperfections except for my undereyes which I did before I had taken pics.</i><b> </b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So now onto the pro's and con's! :)<b> </b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Pro's:</b></div><div style="text-align: left;">- dewy finish<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">These two are my Nars blushes, although I'm looking forward to owning more. :)</div><div style="text-align: center;">I first bought Deep Throat to try these out since I saw reviews that this is a nice shade for fair-skinned ladies, and since then, I've become a Nars convert! :) </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Here are pictures of me wearing the two blushes:</b> (<span style="color: #666666;"> please excuse my face and the brightness, it was daytime and I just woke up, I have nothing on except for loose powder and the blushes. :)</span> )</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><span align="justify">To get the maximum brilliant color of eye shadow on your eye, an eye primer is a must! Apply eye shadow base to eyelids, then apply NYX's high-pigmented eye shadows and see the colors pop with vibrant and sparkling luster. Eye shadow base grabs and firmly holds finely milled powder so the color in the pot is what ends up on your eye - without a pinch lost. (Cherry Culture)</span></i><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Subjective Judgment of the Object: </b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So I wanted to make my eyeshadows last a bit longer without paying for the ridiculously overpriced Urban Decay Primer Potion, and saw a fellow GirlTalker selling this on her multiply site.<b> </b>I immediately had to try this stuff so with no hesitations, I placed an order.<b> </b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">At first, I was a bit hesitant with the color, but i was surprised as it even made the color of my lids a bit lighter. I first used this on my bare skin then pat on powder as I usually do on ordinary school days(I know, silly me) and it creased. Surprise surprise, I have oily lids, so I practically didn't use this for two weeks because I thought it made my shdaows' staying power even worse. Until one day, I thought of using it again but this time, I first applied concealer, foundation, and powder and all those stuff, then this just right before I apply my eyeshadow. Then lo and behold, the eyshadows stayed put all day without creasing or even fading! I just needed something to control oil beforehand. ;) btw, it intesified the colors really well. :) Here's a swatch of my Lancome quad with and without the base:<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/Make-up/?action=view&current=SDC10602-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c321/xtin17/Make-up/SDC10602-1.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">and this is how it looks like in the pot:<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">As you can see, it makes the colors really pop! I'm totally hooked and cannot wear eyeshadow without this now. :)<br />

</div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Pro's:</span><br />

</div><div style="text-align: left;">- makes them last longer<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- cheap! :)<br />

</div>An easily absorbed, non-clogging, oil-free, hydrating gel-like moisture cream. It controls excess sebum and shine whilst delivering essential moisture to areas most in need, balancing the skin throughout the day. Leaves skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and supple with a shinefree, matte complexion. (from TBS Philippines website)<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b>Subjective Judgment of the Object:</b></span><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have used this for a few weeks now although not on a daily basis, I've tried putting on make-up with and without this but have never tried using this alone. Now let's go to the review.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">When I first applied this, I was surprised and at the same time impressed with how quickly it sunk into my skin. It dries super quickly, I must say. I also love how my skin feels smoother after applying this. Although it's not uber great at controlling oil(cause I'm a grease ball), I find that it actually at least does it's job in that aspect. I would be a bit oily in 3-4 hours when using this, which I normally do in 1 and a half hour, so no big deal but does it's job so-so. One thing I really really like about this too is that it serve both as moisturizer and primer! It's not the best primer but it saves my wallet from buying an expensive primer that does a better job because this one works just fine for me. :)<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">To Narrow it Down:<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Pro's:</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- controls oil for a while<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- moisturizes and hydrates of course :) <br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- leaves the skin super smooth after application<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- Can serve as primer<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- nice smell! :)<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- a little goes a long way so one pot will last you for ages!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><br />
</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Con's: </b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">- controls oil ONLY for a while :(<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><br />
</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Rating:</b> 4 out of 5. If it had controlled my oily skin for a bit longer, I could've given it a five! <br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Where to get it and How much: </b>Most malls have a TBS branch, I got this for 795php. They often go on sale though! I was one unlucky girl. :P<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>P.S. I've only tried Nivea Creme other than this, the previous one was not suited for oily skin, so I really don't have a wide range to compare with. Use at your own discretion. :)<br />

Beauty has been, for centuries, a very vague term. If I ask you who is more beautiful, Angelina Jolie or Catherine Zeta Jones, surely, the answer would depend on your taste as "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", but the basic measurement of beauty is still indeed in the superficial level. But if I now ask you again whether you think Angelina Jolie is more beautiful than Mother Theresa or the other way around, then your basic measurement of beauty would then change. That's when you become confused and would then ask yourself what beauty is for you, which is a very common mistake. A fallacy, to be precise. It is a fallacy which I am not sure if Aristotle had taken note of but which I am quite sure has been caused by being too poetic and literary of the idealistic minds, transferring one attribute to the other. So Plato, despite writing his works in dialogues and literary forms, had been right when he criticized literature for tending to be deceptive so as to leading people into a different realm other than reality and rationality, after all.<br />
What is wrong when you say that Mother Theresa is more beautiful than Angelina Jolie? It is attributing something aesthetic to something that is based not on aesthetics but on moral grounds. It is one thing to say Mother Theresa is a good, regardless of the fact that "good" is relative, but another to say that she is beautiful, unless you really think she is "prettier"(to use a more worldly term) than Angelina Jolie.<br />
This is a common error especially among the Filipino people, of which the reason, might I suggest, is our clinging to the Western "Maganda ang Maputi" or something to that sense. Why do you think is Belo very popular nowadays? Why, almost every woman dreams of a pointed nose, high cheekbone, deep set eyes, or something in that range, some features that resemble those of a Caucasian's. Now why do we resort to the definition of beauty as something that is beyond physical? Something that is of diginity, pride, and pure-heartedness when those attributes are not aesthetic but rather, moral, therefore leading the categorical sense of ethics? It is a compensation for not being Caucasian. But you know, that's wrong. Beauty is physical, and it will always be physical. But then, it is still relative which is the reason why different people would have different answers when I ask them the question whether Catherine or Anglina is more beautiful. <br />
This fallacy, is due to the loss of defining our own identity as Filipina women, or whatever nationality we have other than Caucasian. Hollywood is just too influential and all too good at imposing the measurements of beauty when Precious Lara Quigaman can be just as beautiful as Catherine Zeta Jones or Angelina Jolie without looking as one of their maids. It is the scapegoat for not being white<span style="font-style: italic;"></span>.<br />
Well, guess what. You don't have to compensate. The thing is, Filipino women tend to be trying hard copycats of the Hollywood fakes, instead of letting their own <span style="font-weight: bold;">physical</span> beauty shine. Really, you have your own beauty, so you don't have to compensate for it by saying the cliche that beauty lies in the inner qualities of a person because y then, that wouldn't be called beauty but instead, goodness.<br />
